For this project, the aim of the renovation was to house two families. A second floor apartment was added, and the rest of the house was renovated.

The plainness of the existing facade was contrasted by dimensionality and depth. The result is an interesting play of light and shadow throughout the day projected on the angled stone walls.

The renovated interiors have a lighter quality in comparison to the monolithic stone exterior. The material palette consisted of white walls and concrete and green marble flooring. The services were moved from the edges of the floor plan to the center to create a more organic flow of circulation. As a result, an open plan was achieved with the addition of a new living room extension.

This extension included glass walls that looked onto a private garden. The reason the extension was added was in order to embrace the front yard which resulted in a private garden.
